The CS-MACH1 Network brings together citizen-science initiatives, technology providers, data managers, and researchers to enhance the quality, accessibility, and impact of marine and coastal data.

By fostering collaboration and sharing best practices, the network promotes cost-efficient, FAIR-compliant data flows and supports the development of trustworthy, scalable tools for marine observation.
Through this shared effort, we aim to empower communities to contribute meaningfully to ocean monitoring, research, and policy across Europe and beyond.

The network will include key actors in cost-effective marine and oceanographic observations — from citizen-science coordinators and large community representatives to sensor developers, data experts, and scientists.
