Join the ENFORCE webinar: how can civic evidence support environmental compliance?
Published
Can evidence gathered by citizens help hold polluters to account? On Tuesday, 24 November, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET, the ENFORCE project invites you to the online webinar “Responding to demands for environmental compliance: the role of civic evidence.”
The session brings together perspectives from European research, citizen science and regional environmental administration to look at how cooperation between citizens, researchers and public authorities can work in practice. Drawing on ENFORCE findings and the speakers’ own experience, the webinar will explore:
how civic evidence can complement institutional environmental monitoring and compliance mechanisms;
what makes citizen-generated evidence credible, usable and relevant for public authorities;
how authorities can respond effectively when civic evidence signals potential environmental non-compliance.
After the speaker contributions, there will be an audience Q&A and a moderated discussion on the conditions under which civic evidence can become actionable for environmental compliance.
